Dr. Lacy Palomino was raised in Makawao and began riding horses at a young age. Before attending college, Dr. Palomino successfully competed in a variety of riding disciplines, both on Maui and on the mainland, where she received numerous awards for her accomplishments. After graduating with a B.B.A. in Business Administration from the University of San Diego and working in the film industry in Hollywood, Dr. Palomino left the entertainment world to pursue her true passion- dedicating her life to preserving and championing the welfare of animals. Dr. Palomino is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and is passionate about promoting increased pet adoption from local shelters.
